Hot Tub Pump only stays on for 10 seconds at a time, then stops for 2 minutes before repeating.?
I just replaced my pump (Waterway Executive 4hp pump) on my Catalina Spa and fired it up. For some reason, the pump turns on for 10 seconds and the jets flow, but then it shuts off immediately. It remains idle for 2 minutes and then turns on again for 10 seconds. This cycle has been repeating endlessly as far as I can tell since installing the pump a couple days ago. Also, there are no error messages on the spa's readout display, only shows the temperature like normal. Any ideas?
I hate to tell you this but your circuit board needs to be replaced. The good thing is if your the original owner you do get that horrible pro-rated warranty where you actually get to pay for a portion or majority of the component. (I hate their warranties) If your out of warranty I do urge you to look at replacing it with a nice cheaper generic Balboa VS spa pack. Most of the time I replace your whole spa pack, heater and top side control for the rice they want for their circuit board.
