I want to get into great shape?
I want to get in great shape, I'm about 160 and lean. I want to define my arms, abs and legs along with getting a better vertical. What diet and exercises do I have to do in order to go about achieving these goals?
To define you arms you should run and lift some weights. As for you abs you could do sit ups and as for your legs you should run.
Or what you can do is go running then swim or 1 day go running for like a mile the next day go swimming (swim a mile). Gradually work you way up to 2 miles a day(2 miles for swimming,2 miles for running) and maybe even swimming and running in 1 day (run half a mile swim half a mile). If you exercise every day you will get in shape easily. But don't hurt yourself by starting out to hard and you'll end up hurting your body and muscles. Remember you have to work up to your goal. For example don't go run 10 miles flat, you have to start with 1 mile say for 2 weeks then move up to 2 miles for another 2 weeks and slowly, gradually work up to 10 miles.
As for eating, eat bright colored fruits, vegetables ,bread or grains and avoid foods with fats and eating high calorie foods. Also drink lots of water. Water is key to being fit. After and during running drink water,after and during swimming drink lots of water, even though you are swimming in water your body gets even more dehydrated. So when you are doing these sports or just lifting weights or doing any type of exercise drink alot of water.
