I replaced the blade on my Troy bilt TBE515 edger and now when i press the gas it dies. It starts just fine...?

It starts just fine. After its started, I press the throttle and it dies. The replacement blade is definitely the correct one. When I press the throttle, the screw that holds the blade on tightens too much which causes it to sieze and die.
the action of the blade spinning tightens the bolt. There was no washer originally when i took it apart to replace it
