Difference between 50/50, 100 and 80/20 cotton hoodie?
Been shopping for a pullover hooded sweatshirt. I want a heavy duty one that isn't thin or cheap. I've been seeing them advertised as 100% cotton, 50/50 cotton and 80/20 cotton. Which one would be the best quality for being durable and heavyweight? I like a thick fluffy hood too. I don't like it when the hoods are paper thin and lay flat on the sweater. Any advice would help. Thanks!...
50% cotton, 50% something else. Only you know what that is, since I don't have the label here with me.
I'm assuming it's man-made material.
There are many types of cotton, from lightweight cotton to denim or canvas cotton, which is also 100%.
You'd want more % cotton, if you want heavier hoodie, but the man-made part of it makes the cotton more softer, and less shrinkage.
If you're using 100% cotton, make sure they've already been pre-shrunk. The heavier the cotton content, the heavier it will absorb more water, so it will take longer to dry.
