problems with suction from pool filter?
we are assuming its a suction from the filter problem, but dont really know for sure! a quick backstory on our problem: we noticed that our hayward pool cleaner was running very lethergically. we used the piece that came with it to check the suctionpressure and it was very low.
we tried running it through the vaccuum line, the skimmer, etc and it was all a very low suction. the only thing that is currently "semi" working, is that we have turned off the skimmer and let the vaccuum line have all the power! and even that, is not much.
we cleaned out the cartridge filters (they are only 6 months old)
we have a Hayward Super II Pump. It's showing about 7-8 psi currently while the pump is running.
You may have a faulty seal on your pump... or possibly the intake of the pump is obstructed...
