Any Tips for Dyeing a polyester garden swing bench cover?
I have a lime green (stained) polyester cover (sun shade) that sits over the top of my garden swing bench. i have tried to dye the cover with a nice pink dye in the washing machine but unsucsessfully so then I tried a cold water dye in a big dustbin and emmersed the cover but that did not work either.
The fabric seems to have been treated with something that is preventing the dye from taking properly, the end result so far is a lime green (still stained) cover with streaks of pink in it. Any suggestions on how to achieve a good result, It does not have to be pink! Thanks
The only home dye that works on polyester, and then only some of the time, is iDyePoly. Available only in 8 colors.
Polyester will not dye with most dyes.
