Should I simply repair my propane grill or replace it?
We have a BBQ Grillware GGPL-2100 that is almost 4 years old. It is one of the cheapest grills that lowes sells and that's what attracted my grandmother to it. I find that we really got what she paid for when it comes to quality. The biggest issue is the rust. The drip pan and the grease collector are both rusted out. I looked up replacement parts and it would cost about $80 to replace the 2 parts. I am also having trouble with the electric ignition and the burners. I looked up online for spare parts and they are pretty hard to find.
What would be the most intelligent course of action?
I would simply retire that grill, its not worth the price of the parts to get it up to par again. The price of grills has come down somewhat in the last couple of years and you would surely enjoy having one that is in good working order. You may also want to get one with at least one or two side burners. These really come in handy when you are cooking out.
